The recently launched HTC U11 + has received an unofficial TWRP recovery port thanks to a member of XDA sabpprook who took a TWRP recovery made for HTC U11 running Android 8.0, patching it with the U11 + kernel and voila! TWRP successfully booted in U11 +.
Official HTC U11 + TWRP official restore is available for download at the link below, but we do not recommend that you install it on your device as it is currently an alpha stage. Recovery does not support decryption, which is a big surprise.
sabpprook shares TWRP's alpha for U11 + for other knowledgeable members in the forum to fix decryption, and makes recovery workable for all types of destinations. If you want to restore recovery, there is an alternative method that can be used to create unofficial boot on your HTC U11 + without installing it correctly.
To do so, just take the unofficial TWRP form from the download link below to your PC, and instead of blinking, use the fast-boot-3.1.1-2_unofficial-ocm_2.img boot command to boot the recovery without installing it. Upon completion of the unofficial test, simply reboot your phone to the system.
