The patch version of Ext3nder Installer was just released a few days ago. Here's how to install this tool on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 11.
WHAT IS EXT3NDER INSTALLER?
Ext3nder Installer is a modified version of Ext3nder, which in turn is a modified version of Cydia Extender. It was developed by Julio Verne.
Julio Verne is largely inactive in the jailbreak scene in recent weeks.
Another developer, who used the name "Midnight Chips", updated this core utility for iOS 11 firmware.
Just like older versions, the latest version allows you to sign on-the-fly apps.
This lets you keep your jailbreak in top shape without requiring a PC or computer to resign again.
I will show you the installation and signing process on the iPhone 7 plus on the Electra jailbreak.
REQUIREMENTS
- iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
- iOS 11-11.1.2 firmware
- Cydia
- Apple ID username and password
HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL EXT3NDER INSTALLER [IPHONE X AND BELOW]
Step 1 Open Cydia.
Step 2 Find Unzip and Core Utilities and install it. This core package is available in the Electra (Electra's iOS Utilities) default repository. Core Utilities should already exist on your device but you should install it otherwise.
Step 3 Open Source and tap Edit> Add.
Step 4 Add the Cydia Midnight Chip repository - https://midnightchip.github.io/repo/.
Step 5 Install the following packages from this repo and wait until Cydia throws an error.
Step 6 After displaying the error, return to the Installed Cydia section. Scroll down to unzip and reinstall it.
Step 7 Reinstall the Ext3nder Installer. The installation will now end without any error.
SETUP YOUR APPLE ID
Step 8 Open Ext3nder app from your home screen.
Step 9 Go to the other section.
Step 10 Scroll down and enter your Apple ID credentials in the "SETUP LOGIN APPLE" section.
Wait to authenticate your data and encrypt your password. Once your data is ready, you can start signing apps on your device.
SIGN APPLICATION / IPA FILES
Step 11 Go to Installed section. This section contains all the existing sideloaded apps on your device.
As for me, I have Panda Helper, AppValley, Electra, and FilzaJailed on my iPhone.
Step 12 Tap the app you want to sign and tap Resign. I chose the Electra jailbreak app to make sure my jailbreak app will run for another week without any problems.
Step 13 Wait until the "Installed" notification appears as shown below.
That's pretty much it. You no longer need to use Cydia Impactor again and again from now on.
AUTO-SIGNING
Ext3nder Installer also has builtin auto-signing feature. This function automatically marks the IPA file (application) automatically without any user intervention.
However, this feature does not work in the patch version because iOS 11 broke the background. We need to spawn the auto-signer process correctly to fix it.
The developer intends to solve this problem in the soon to be launched soon.
