Like an old Google device, it's easy to unlock the Google pixel device bootloader. Also, you should know that your device's warranty will be canceled after unlocking the bootloader, you might stop receiving the next OTA update on the device after unlocking the device. So before unlocking the device make sure, can you relock the bootloader? And can you manually update the device or not if you do, then you proceed to unlock. After you unlock the bootloader it also deletes data on your smartphone, so back up your data before starting the process.

Supported device

Pixel 4 (flame) and Pixel 4 XL (coral)

Precondition

  • Before starting the Opening process, complete a backup; Your device includes Applications, Contacts, Messages, Gallery files, Internal Storage Files.
  • Enable OEM to unlock Unlock USB Debugging ⇒ Enable Developer Options, USB Debugging Mode and OEM Unlock on Android Devices
  • Install the latest Google drivers on your computer and laptop ⇒ Download the Latest Google USB Driver
  • Download the Google SDB fastboot ADB tool from here ⇒ ADB Minimal and the Latest Fastboot Tool

How to Unlock Google Pixel 4 Series bootloader with SDK fastboot ADB tool 

1. First download and setup ADB Minimum Minimal and Fastboot Tool, you can install the full package or Download ADB Minimal Minimal and Fastboot and unzip tools.

2. Connect your Pixel 4Device to PC and open the Cmd Window in the "platform-tools" folder with Hold Shift + Right Mouse Button ⇒ Open Command Window Here.

3. Now boot your Android device into bootloader mode by using the following command, or you can do it manually by Volume Up or Down + Power Key.

adb reboot bootloader

4. Now check device connected or not via this command.

fastboot device
If showing “waiting for any device” then re-install the driver, Or install it manually via the device manager.

5. Once your device connected, paste the following command to Unlock Bootloader via Fastboot Command.

fastboot flashing unlock

6. Now confirm the unlocking. Press the Volume Up button to confirm the unlock and press the Power button to select it.

7. After the unlock bootloader is complete, you can check whether it is unlocked or not with the following command.

fastboot unlock-info or fastboot oem device-info

8. You can reboot the device at any time by following this command

reboot fastboot

The first boot takes a few minutes because the device will go through a factory reset. So wait for it to boot normally.

Note: Linux users, use the code: "sudo fastboot OEM unlock" and mac users "./fastboot OEM unlock".
