Xposed developers stop developing with Magisk. In recent years, Magisk has been able to help install the Xposed Framework, which is ported unofficially through the EdXposed module on Android. So here we share a complete guide to installing Xposed Framework on Android 9.0 Pie Device.
Now the Xposed Framework is available as a Magisk Module. This supports the latest Magisk 18.0 (feels), but can also work on older versions of Magisk. Also, this Xposed Framework does not destroy Magisk SafetyNet, so you will never experience problems such as SafetyNet application problems and boot loops, etc.
Thanks to the developer "Solohsu" for creating this Magisk module to install the Xposed Framework called EdXposed. EdXposed has purchased Xposed Framework for all Android Pies running new devices. EdXposed is based on the Riru platform from the developer RikkaW. Therefore, to install EdXposed, you also need the Riru Magisk core module.
What is Xposed Framework?
Xposed Framework will unlock your phone to customize the device. You can change the behaviour of the system and apps without touching any APKs customize. Also, you can customize your phone theme, Status bar, Notification, Changing Device IMEI, Serial no, Model No, customizing Lock Screen, Icons, Blocking adds, Playing YouTube Videos Background and much more. As all changes are done in the memory, you need to deactivate the module and reboot to get your original system back. So let’s begin to the guide.
Method 1:
Install Riru – Core
- First, Launch the Magisk Manager App on your Andoird 9.0 Pie device.
- Now tap on the hamburger menu in the top left corner.
- Then select “Downloads” option.
- Now click on search option and type:
Riru - Core
- Tap on the Download icon next to the Riru – core search result.
- Select “Install” option from the pop-up menu.
- Once the module was installed, do not click on the reboot button just follow the next step.
Install Xposed Framework on Android 9.0 Pie with EdXposed Magisk Module
This is the main part of installing the Xposed Framework on your Android Pie device. Let’s follow the steps carefully.
- Similarly as before, click on search option and type:
Riru - EdXposed
- Tap on the Download icon next to the Riru – EdXposed (SandHook) search result.
- Select “Install” option from the pop-up menu.
- Once the module was installed, this time click on the reboot button.
If you can’t install both modules from the Magisk then follow these steps:
Download required file:
- Riru Core Magisk Module
- EdXposed Magisk Module
Step to install modules:
- Download Riru Core Magisk Module.
- Now open Magisk manager app.
- Click on Module then select add an icon on the bottom of the middle screen.
- Then navigate the magisk-riru-core.zip and click on it to install.
- After successful installation of the above module. Similarly, Install EdXposed Magisk Module.
- Now, reboot your Android 9.0 Pie running device.
Note: If both the module successfully installed on your device then go to the next method (Method 2).
Method 2:
Install Xposed Framework APK
- Download the Xposed Installer APK from Here.
- If you never install external app, then enable Unknown Sources.
Enable Unknown Sources options from Settings > Security or Settings > Additional settings > Privacy.
