Reminders have become one of the most basic features of a mobile phone. This is something that not many people talk about because any phone you buy, not necessarily a smartphone, will most likely let you set reminders. On Android, there are several different ways to do it but the most basic way is to do it in the Clock app. That's how to do it on any phone, so what makes Android so understanding? You can contact Google Assistant and ask him to set a reminder. The best part is this work from anywhere and you do not need to switch apps. Remindee does almost the same thing, minus the convenience of voice commands.
Why Remindee?
So why do we even talk about an app that lets you do something that Google Assistant already lets you do it? For one, Google Assistant just skips out of nowhere and covers everything on the screen. It may not really be that way but it's like replacing an app. And then Google Assistant is only convenient if you use voice commands. If not, you should type the command as if using a command prompt. Not too comfortable. When you use Remindee, you'll realize that it's much easier and also better to do what it does than the Google Assistant.

Interface
With Remindee, as I said, you do not need to open the app. It's not a bad idea though to launch the app after it's installed and give it the permissions it needs, and also get yourself familiar with the UI. Remindee is a simple app that splits into two tabs:
- PENDING: Displays a list of active reminders.
- ARCHIVE: Displays a list of reminders you've previously set but no longer active.
There is a search icon at the top that does what you think. The three-point menu button next to it accommodates application settings as well as the ability to Create Basic Reminders. This is a very clear reminder app, it lets you create reminders from within the app. It's not possible that you need instructions on how to get started setting up reminders from this app.
But how do you set up reminders without opening the app, from anywhere?
Set reminders
To set a reminder, all you have to do is tap on the share button. Most Android apps have a sharing button especially when you have selected some of the content you want to share. This makes it very easy to share things in multiple apps. After selecting what you want to remind, touch the share button and select Remindee from the Android sharing menu.
You'll then see a pop-up window where you can set the title for the reminder, adding notes for it. The content you choose is set as the main content of the reminder, but you can still change it. Select the time and date and press SET REMINDER to set a reminder. That's simple
You can open the app and save a list of pending or archived reminders anytime you want.
Who is this?
You can see now why Remindee makes sense, though basically what Google Assistant can do. Remindee works without a voice command which means you can use it wherever you are either on the train or in the public toilets without letting anybody else know what you will do later. But how often do you really find yourself in the same situation and how much do you use the reminder?
The answer to that question will be answered if Remindee is for you. I almost never use an alarm let alone reminder and personal assistant. I'm not a very busy person. Most people will install it and forget about it. Only those who use the many reminders will assume this app is very helpful.
