Bypass OTA Wait Times di OnePlus Devices dengan Oxygen Updater

Android can be the largest mobile platform, and even arguably a better platform. But when it comes to updates, iOS has a sorted game and Android currently does not even play the same game. Some OEMs have a poor track record for publishing updates even for featured devices. OnePlus is one company that has no history providing timely updates. However, recently with success with OnePlus 3 / 3T, Chinese OEM is updating quite seriously. The lack of Nexus devices in the market means potential customers and who want timely updates. Although OnePlus gets better with updates, here are the things with OTA updates, they are not that fast. That's where Oxygen Updater can help.

Why do you need Oxygen Renewal?

Generally, when OEM launches Android updates, it appears on your device as an OTA update. This update launches in batches depending on your region, operator, etc. So an owner of OnePlus 5 from Europe may be shaking the latest updates that tell you about it on the internet while you, in India, are still waiting for OTA. Can not blame anyone here to be fair, because the server can only handle so many payloads.

If you connect to a European server using a VPN, in theory, you should be able to accept OTA on your device. Keep in mind that OTA updates also depend on your carrier, device model, etc. So maybe also you may not get the OTA. Oxygen Updater is a good application that does the same thing but not a VPN service. If you do not want to wait, Oxygen Updater is the application you want to use.

What is Oxygen Renewal?

His name might suggest otherwise but the Oxygen Booster is not the official tool offered by OnePlus or even developed by company employees. This is a third party tool that is not even remotely related to the company. Well, besides the fact that it works for OnePlus 6, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3T, and OnePlus 3. It's very easy to use. Just select your device and it will check if your device has an update or not.

Sounds like an update section in your device's Settings, is not it? Well, it's very similar in terms of how it is used. However, unlike the update section on your device, Oxygen Update pulls all update packages for your device regardless of your location or any other limitations that the update section contains. So the Oxygen Update will show you that the update exists and let you download it even if the Update section on your phone says that your device is up to date.

It works for all of the previously mentioned OnePlus devices and can also pull packets from stable channels and beta. The app also lets you download partial OTA packages or full firmware (just in case). Once downloaded, packages can be installed through special TWRP stock or recovery.

Launch the app when it's installed, and it will detect your device. If not, you can select it from the drop-down menu. Next, the app will ask for root permissions if your device is rooted, you can skip a step if you do not have a rooted device. This helps the application configure whether to download a complete firmware zipper for your device or just a partial OTA update. So if you have a rooted device and give permission, the app will default to the full update method.

When you sign in to the app's main screen, this app will let you know that you are up to date or show updates available.
