ARISE may not be the most famous sound mod that exists for rooted Android devices. The crown can safely be given to Viper4Android. Although, ARISE is much better than Viper4Android. Yes, the mother of all sound mod now has a grandmother. Well, it's been around for a while now. The ARISE team has been quite active and their latest mod, named ARISE Magnum Opus Sound Mod, is available for download and works with almost all Android 4.2+ devices. They call it "the most advanced and comprehensive sound system ever available."
Do not you want to test that claim? I sure do it. I'm not an audiophile, so maybe some of you can explain the ins and outs of sound better. Although I can not distinguish much audio quality between mod, I am still impressed. Because Sony Audio Enhancements and Viper4Android are my two favorite audio mods, in a certain order. And ARISE is basically the culmination of all the best sound mods available for rooted Android devices. These are called modules that are all installed separately but can work together if you select them. It contains everything from ViPER4Arise ™ (ARISE ™ version of ViPER4Android) to Sony's Sony Xix audio suite.

Preparation
Before we start installing, there is little you have to do. Installing ARISE is simple but a bit more difficult than it should be. That is, there is no AROMA installer that lets you choose which modules to install or abandon. So you have to edit some very simple text. Just download the mod from the link provided above. Extract the file arises_customize.prop from zip. This can be found in the get_started / your_system / folder.
This is the file we need to edit and you can do this on your PC or on your smartphone. So open the file with whatever text editor you like and you should have some text in it. Find the install.core = line and type the correct one next to it so it looks like that
install.core = true
It tells the ARISE script to install the necessary core modules but only for the first time you install the mod. Now scroll down and you will find lines similar to module names like install.v4a_2.5.0.5 = or install.sony = and so on. Just type the correct one next to the mod you want to install. If you type anything other than true or leave it blank, the script will treat it as incorrect and not install the module.
Once done, save the changes and place the file on your device's internal storage. Make sure it's in your root storage and not in the folder.
How to Install ARISE Magnum Opus Sound Mod
- Now that you've made the changes and placed the embed file_customize.prop on your SD card, transfer the ARISE mod to your phone as well if you have not already done so.
- Boot your device in recovery mode.
- Select Install, navigate to the zip file and select it.
- Swipe right to flash it and everything should work smoothly. Depending on how much and mod you choose, this can take a while.
- Assuming you have installed Magisk and you prefer to use ARISE module as a mod without system, you can also install ARISE Magisk compatibility module after mod is installed. This is an optional step and you do not have to do it if you have Magisk.
